Vivo Xplay 3S gets officially unveiled as first smartphone with 2K display

Next year will be the year of smartphones with 2K displays, but Vivo gets the trophy for being the first. That and $5.00 might get them a cup of coffee at Starbucks, but I am sure it's an exciting day for the folks at Vivo. The Vivo Xplay 3S was officially unveiled in Bejing a few hour ago.

The metal body sports a 6-inch 2K (2560 x 1440) display, which translates to 490ppi. It also has the Snapdragon 800 (8974AB) processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 3,200mAh battery, LTE. and DTS sound. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device. It comes in either black or white, but no pricing was specified. Rumors have it at around $740.
