Alcatel One Touch Tab devices to be released in 2013

More news from Alcatel at CES 2013 this morning. Along with the new 5-inch smartphones they are planning to release, Alcatel is coming out with a trio of tablet devices. Alcatel indicates they will be released in the third quarter of 2013, loaded with Jelly Bean, but they will not have mobile data options to choose from.

Three different devices will be offered including:

  • One Touch Tab 7 HD – a 7-inch tablet running at 1280 x 800 resolution, this version will come equipped with 1GB of RAM and a dual-core 1.6GHz cpu. The device is expected to retail for $149 initially.
  • One Touch Tab 8 HD – a close sibling to the 7-inch version, this device steps things up to an 8-inch XGA screen running at 1024 x 768 resolution. Otherwise, the specs should be the same for this device that will retail for $179.
  • One Touch Tab 7 – the non-HD version of the devices, this will only run a 1024 x 600 TFT display and a single-core 1GHz cpu. It will not have a rear-facing camera and storage will be just 4GB. This bottom of the line device will retail for $129.

Both of the HD versions have 2MP rear facing cameras and a front-facing camera. All three devices have microSD slots.
