The Google TV set-top box market just got a little more crowded. Google has gained another partner in Hisense, a Chinese-based electronics company, which will produce a sub-$100 Google TV set-top box that will mainly compete with Vizio’s $99 Co-Star . The Hisense set-top box, which will ship with Google’s second generation Google TV software, is slated for release later this year. Hisense is the fifth company to partner with Google joining Vizio, Samsung, Sony, and LG. More specifics might be officially revealed at IFA so be sure to check back here beginning August 31 for any further details on this budget-friendly Google TV experience.
