TweetDeck has had one hell of a week dealing with unofficial versions of their highly anticipated Android beta application. Yesterday, the company became aware of a fake TweetDeck app in the Android Market, and made the following tweet:
Someone has uploaded a “TweetDeck” app to the Android Market and is charging for it. THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL APP. Do NOT download.
The app, which was originally dubbed TweetDeck for Android(Beta), has since been renamed TweetTwee to prolong the inevitability of being pulled. We surely hope that Google is on top of this one and that whoever put it up never sees a dime.
