Banks normally issue your credit card, but Samsung now wants to add its own in your wallet. Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Card, its first branded credit card in the US. The brand wasn't afraid to show off the card's matte black, textured finish with a metallic EMV chip on the front. Here's how it works and how to get one.
Pay your way around the Galaxy
The Galaxy Card is here, through a partnership between Samsung and Barclays US Consumer Bank. The bank issues the card on the Visa network, so users can present it anywhere Visa is accepted.
You'll earn cash rewards on everyday purchases, with higher rewards for spending through Samsung. The company positions it as a new financing option whether you're buying the latest Galaxy device or looking to earn cash back on everyday spending.

Visa currently reaches more than 80 million merchant locations across more than 200 countries and territories, including stores, restaurants, hotels, transit systems, online retailers, and ATMs.
Support for Barclays Easy Pay is also included, which lets you split eligible purchases into fixed monthly payments for a monthly fee instead of standard purchase interest.
The Galaxy Card is a rewards card that integrates with its Wallet app, and you'll earn 5% cash back on eligible purchases through Samsung.
That includes purchases made through Samsung.com, Samsung Experience Stores, the Shop Samsung app, Galaxy Store, Samsung Care+, Samsung Secure Wi-Fi, Samsung Smart TV Store, and SmartThings Videos.

The card also offers 3% cash back on anything you buy with their exclusive Samsung Wallet app. Added to that is 2% cash back on eligible streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+, and Spotify, and 1% cash back on all other purchases. The rewards have no expiration date or caps on cash rewards.
Some purchases don't qualify for bonus rewards. So, buying from third-party retailers or marketplaces like Amazon or Best Buy may not count as Samsung Direct Purchases.
Unpack Samsung's card offers today (no, seriously)
There's a welcome offer waiting for you if you apply for the Galaxy Card today. Go to samsung.com or the physical retail stores to learn more and start an application. You'll earn an additional $200 in bonus cash rewards after spending $2,000 within the first 90 days of opening the account.
July 22, 2026, also marks Galaxy Unpacked, where the company is launching its new Samsung Galaxy Z series, among other devices. Watch the highlights on YouTube.

You can get either a virtual card or a premium metal physical card. You can also add the virtual version to Samsung Wallet alongside compatible payment cards, digital IDs, passes, digital keys, and other supported credentials. The Knox security platform protects any payment information stored on your device.
There are no annual fees and no foreign transaction fees. You'll receive at least 23 days after each billing cycle ends to pay your balance. If you pay the full statement balance by the due date, Barclays does not charge interest on purchases.
