The Battle Cats is an established name in the world of mobile gaming. Downloaded over 100 million times, it teams solid strategy gameplay with a cast of cute and often quite bizarre cats.
But it’s now even got better with a new collaboration with Sonic The Hedgehog, which is offering new stages and characters while the crossover event is available between August 4th and August 18th, 2025.

Radi-cat Highway
A free to download game on iOS and Android, The Battle Cats sees you putting together a team of cats and basically directing them towards destroying your opponent’s castle – while defending your own.
This gameplay is simple on paper but has hidden depths, and this new collab allows you even more options on how to play.
One of the major additions to the gameplay are the five new Sonic themed maps, with iconic locations like Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, Sky Sanctuary, and Radical Highway present and correct.
You can even receive rewards from each level you clear in the more than 20 stages in the Radical Highway map as well.
Sonic…as a cat?
That’s not all though, with possibly the most eyecatching elements of the collab the Cat themed versions of Sonic and his friends available to use as part of your team. You can have the standard versions of Sonic and his pals join your army as Uber Rare heroes of course.
By evolving the characters Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Sonic Cat, and Shadow Cat after collecting them from the Rare Capsules, you will find this adds a whole new layer of strategy to the fighting crew of cats you can assemble.
To get the most out of the collab you’ll need to play the game every day though, and visit the Cat Base to receive another special login stamp that includes a reward.
After five days in a row of doing this you’ll receive the limited-time Special unit Tails Cat.
