Ice Universe doubles down on Galaxy S20 for 2020

We've seen a few leaks and images of the Galaxy S11 this year, but Samsung might be switching up their naming schemes for the new decade. We're just not sure which models that will affect.

This seems a little confusing, especially since we've already seen Galaxy S11+ promo material, but famous Samsung leaker Ice Universe feels pretty confident that it's happening regardless. The Twitter account tweeted “Galaxy S20” on Christmas Eve, and has now re-highlighted that tweet today.

So what exactly would the Galaxy S20 be? Is Samsung going to pull an NVIDIA and skip the S11 altogether, jumping everything straight to the Galaxy S20, S21, and so on? Or would it be more likely that whatever “new” form factor is announced with the regular Galaxy S11 will pick up that moniker, giving consumers the option for the Galaxy S11 or Galaxy S20?

Either option feels a little confusing, and the comparisons to NVIDIA don't help when you realize that they eventually released a GTX 1660 GPU to sit in the middle of their older 10-series cards, and the new 20-series RTX cards.

Ice Universe seems convinced, but I'd still take everything with a grain of salt for another couple months.
