Google has added quite a few new features to Google Photos lately. Manual face tagging, yet another messaging service, and more have all come in just the last few months, making this one of Google's most well-supported apps ever.
2020 isn't going to slow that down, either. A new feature is hinted at in the app's code that hints at allowing users to zoom in on videos while watching them.
The feature has been triggered over on XDA Developers, and works pretty much like you'd expect. You can start watching videos, then zoom in on them during playback. Seeing it in action you'd think this is something simple that would've been available all along, but obviously it's a little more complicated to zoom in on an active file like a video as opposed to a still image.
Since it does look mostly functional, expect to see this officially hit the Google Photos app sooner rather than later.
