Our friends at DroidLife have heard from @p3droid that Gingerbread is ready to go for the Droid X. Apparantly it is up to Motorola and Verizon. He goes on to say that it may arrive as early as this Sunday. This is only a rumor and I do believe that Gingerbread is ready, but I do not think it will happen this weekend. Usually when updates are about to happen with Verizon, a document leaks out showing what the changes are. Nevertheless, Droid X users could see Gingerbread sooner rather than later and that is good news. We will keep you posted as more information surfaces.

I use to love my DROID x but ever since the update nothing but problems.
Reboots all the time and battery life is horrible. Hate it!!
Dude…depends how many phones are out there…most people didn’t buy the Fascinate…they bought the DX. Samsung is notoriously slow to get their Android phones up to snuff. It’s more about them than Verizon. Enjoy your crappy GSM service over there douche bag. They are Iphone gods and have nothing exciting on the Droid line up.
I have a Droid X and a Fascinate. I kind of agree. They need to get the Fascinate updated already. Although, I am thinking of getting a Thunderbolt anyhow. Oh well.
Im going to be SOOOOO mad if the droid x gets gingerbread before samsung fascinate gets froyo… SREW VERIZON I’m going to switch to at&t where there going to combined with t-mobile & they will kick verizon’s a**
This is some great news but do you remember the last update? It came the last possible date it could have come for the Droid x to get froyo so im not holding my breath for this sunday. That said it would be awesome. Let’s hope its true!
And what abot the Evo 4G??? I Want Gingerbread for it!
