Ultra Mobile has announced a new set of prepaid plans that jump on the bandwagon of carriers selling months of service in bulk. You'll have to prepay for a few months in advance, but you get some big advantages for cheap when you do.
The entry level plan runs just $19 per month, which nets you unlimited talking, texting, calling to 60+ international countries, and global texting, plus 100MB of LTE data. That's incredibly cheap, even if the data's on the low end.
You can make this a better deal if you're willing to prepay for a few months, however. If you buy three months of service (which puts you right at $60) you'll get unlimited 3G data for the entire period. Sure, it's only 3G, but if you're not the type to need fast data for videos or anything, that's a crazy good deal.
There's also a new completely unlimited LTE plan for $49, which also gets a bulk discount. If you buy three months of service, Ultra Mobile will throw in a fourth month for free. That means you can secure an entire year of service for about $350, which is what some people will pay in just two or three months with other carriers.
If you're a prepaid customer, there's never been a better time to save money on your phone plans.
