Many of us have been updating our respective Nexus devices to the Android N Developer Preview build that Google released yesterday, enjoying the new features as the split screen and the ability to reply to messages directly from the notification shade. But, one question did keep raising its head – where and what was the easter egg? Well, it's time to find out.

Thanks to the investigative work of PhoneRadar, we now know that Android N's easter egg is a new version of the Flappy Bird-esque game that we've seen on Marshmallow, albeit with a difference. You can access Android N's easter egg by navigating to Settings/About Phone and tapping on the build number, just previous easter eggs. When the ‘N' appears, tap it a few times and then trace your finger along the letter, in effect you will be drawing a letter N on the letter N shown on the screen.

Once you have access to the easter egg, you will see that the Flappy Bird based game has gone multiplayer, instead of steering a single bird to through the obstacles, you can choose to add another five birds to the mix, as you can see in the video below.

It isn't the best game you'll ever play, but it might well be one of the most frustrating. Let us know how you get on with the Android N Developer Preview in the comments below. If you own a Nexus 5 and you are disappointed that your device isn't supported, there is some hope to cling to.
