NVIDIA working on Quad-Core Processors for Mobile Devices.

It's no surprise to anyone who has owned a desktop computer that as soon as you think you have the latest greatest technology money can buy, they double the power, and suddenly you're $3000 gaming computer is a has been. iSad…

NVIDIA aims to make us drool again just days after Tegra 2 dual-core Processors made their way to our sweaty hands. They're working on quad-core for mobile devices already. This was stated in a whitepaper regarding mobile multi-core processors. Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, had this to say;

Every single year, there will be a new Tegra…Dual-core processors will be the standard in 2011, and quad-core is coming in the near future.

Fast pace, as always to be expected from tech manufacturers.

  1. Sadly the amount of computing power in my current (old school) phone is actually more than that of one of my very first ground up PC builds. Now we are talking about quad core chips in phones…crazy!
