HTC to host selfie-oriented ‘Double Exposure’ event in NYC on October 8

In case you haven't noticed, we are a selfie nation and smartphone manufacturers are looking to capitalize on it. HTC is one of those companies as they sent us an invitation for an event in New York City on October 8th called “Double Exposure.” It's obviously centered around selfies because the invitation shows two females capturing a selfie. So what phone could they introduce?

It's likely to be the rumored HTC Eye. The last leak we heard about that one is that it will be available on all U.S. carriers. It's also possible that the Eye is a variant of the recently announced Desire 820, which sports an 8 MP front-facing camera.

I am sure we are likely to see a leak or two leading up to the event.
