If you are, or shall I say were, a Plants vs. Zombies fan, you'll be happy to know that they are planning a release of the game sometime in the first half of 2011! This should get a lot of people excited as it was gaining popularity as a solid game, one that could contend with Angry Birds (that's tough to come close to), before it got pulled from the Android Market and shut down.

Droidreign's Brian Honaker sent an email to Mr. Garth Chouteau of PopCap Games to see what the future of PvZ may be for Android. The response is as follows;

…Suffice to say that we’re working hard to bring the REAL “PvZ” to Android and expect that to happen in the first half of 2011 :)
Best Regards,
Garth

There you have it, direct from PopCap themselves. Will they charge for its release? Or do you think they'll go with Angry Birds free download marketing scheme on Android? Let us know what you think.

  1. Too long. They said they were working on it over a year ago.

    Really, when gameplay and art is already figured out, it takes them TWO YEARS to get it onto another platform???
