There have been rumors of an upcoming HTC-manufactured Amazon phone. Reports have come out suggesting that HTC has three devices created already, with one of them entering the final stages of development. Amazon has repeatedly denied any reports about the phone, saying that they are not preparing to release any phones this year, and also quelled rumors that any upcoming Amazon phone would be offered for free.

However, new reports from Bloomberg News suggests that the upcoming device could be exclusive to Amazon Prime members, as the company continues to push its Instant Video and streaming services. The decision could certainly limit the sales, but would also obviously increase Amazon Prime membership. It's a trade-off that is certainly worthwhile for the company, as Amazon has continuously proved to carry on with their business model of sacrificing profit margins to gain market share.
