Google Translate updated with ICS design and new text to speech languages 4

Google Translate is now at version 2.4 and with it comes a design overhaul to the new Holo theme. This theme is what gives it the Ice Cream Sandwich look. More languages have been added, but we're not sure how many. As of right now it can translate 64 different languages via text and 17 languages via spoken words. Last but not least, they added Esperanto translation. Hit the break for download links.

  1. I hope they have also increase the number of words it can translate at a time.  Hate having it translate a webpage but only to find it did not translate the whole page due to hitting the cap on number of Words it can translate.  The desktop (Windows) version for sure has a higher cap then Android version.

  2. I was testing it just now in restaurant. Translated English to Chinese and English to Malay. It was brilliant. I’m seriously impressed.
Not does it recognize the speech well and quickly, but quick hand writing, and if you still not happy, there is always the keyboard. Top that with displaying the translation in full screen, large letters, making it very easy to read by the other party rather, than handing the phone over back and forth. This sure is, one very useful app.
