RAZR MAXX to have 3300 mAh Battery, Heavy Users Breathe Sigh of Relief

Motorola had big news yesterday at CES with the addition of both a purple RAZR and the RAZR MAXX. The MAXX boasted a 21 hours of talktime which is unheard of on a 4G LTE device. Sadly it added a little bit more thickness and heft but not much as the phone is still just 1.8mm thicker than that of the original Droid RAZR. The one thing that was missing from the announcement though was the exact battery size. Well after some careful sleuthing it appears that the device will tote a 3300mAh battery which is almost double the 1780mAh battery the RAZR came with.

So for those of you that wanted the Droid RAZR but were worried about the lack of the ability to replace the battery during a long work day can now have your cake and eat it too as Motorola is bringing you this amazing device. Like all other RAZR’s the battery is not replaceable but who’s going to need to with the “extended” battery already built in. Look forward to our hands on video with the RAZR MAXX later today. Also, who of you out there is going to get one of these bad boys?

Regardless of the extended battery, the lack of a replacable battery is an absolute deal killer.  The idea of setting the phone on the shelf while it charges back up hardly seems efficient.
