Dying to have that slim, sexy new Facebook UI on your Android phone? Well, although Facebook is slowly rolling the new look out to select Android phones, you can actually force your Facebook app to check back with Facebook' servers. All you have to do it go to settings > applications, find Facebook, force close, and clear the cache. That's it! Now start Facebook up, and viola… new UI! Be sure to let us know how it goes in the comments.
It’s probably because they don’t write their own articles.
I’m guessing it’s a “Copy & Paste”.
That’s why I always find spelling errors, poor instructions, etc. in their posts.
Yep same here, didn’t work and I knew what the instructions meant.
^^^ althoughhh UI seems kinda the same ?? -___-
Listen folks, the isntructions work, after you force stop and clear cache, back out to home screen, go to market and hit menu, then hit my apps and there should be an update for facebook available !!! hope that help ya :)
Why do they bother to give instructions that do not work or at least give a better explanation of what to do exactly would be greatly appreciated ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Same here nada..g2x..looks the same
Works for awhile on the HTC Inspire 4G then every screen is blank. this is a test for 2.0 I think
I went to Menu > Settings > Applications but it doesn’t show a list of applications, it shows Quick lauch, Manage applications, etc.
In Manage applications, Facebook is not listed.
But I found out that I can launch the application launcher, hit menu, then hit Manage applications, it shows me a bigger list of apps, including Facebook.
After completing the instructions, the layout looks the same, as far as I can tell.
Doesnt work
I can confirm that it works on the Galaxy S2
Nothing changed. Samsung Infuse 4G. Even deleted and reinstalled. Sorry.
I like it. Thanks.
Awesome. Just did it and definitely looks and flows much better
