Twitter in an effort to condense and make things more seamless has created a new “Explore” tab, which will encompass a variety of categories users had to access individually.
It’s worth noting that no Twitter feature is going away — it’s just all being condensed so everything can be found in a single tab instead of things being all over the place. Now, the Explore tab will encompass “trends, Moments, search, and the best of live video,” according to a post on Twitter’s blog.
“Until today, you had to go to a few different places to find each of these experiences. As part of our continued efforts to make it easier to see what’s happening, we’re bringing all these together. Very soon, you’ll be able to find trends, Moments, search, and the best of live video, all within the new Explore tab.”
The new Explore tab began rolling out yesterday for users on iOS. Over the next couple of weeks, users should start seeing it on Twitter for Android as well. We’d imagine it’d roll out for the Web experience, too, but Twitter made no mention of that in its blog post, so its yet to be seen.
