Boost Mobile, a Sprint prepaid phone service, announced the launch of a special offer aimed to lure customers away from T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. Similar to what Sprint does for post-paid accounts, Boost Mobile is offering family plans for two to four lines at rates that are half of what other carriers offer for new customers who port a number over to Boost Mobile.

The plans start at $60 per month for two lines and go up to $85 per month for three lines or $110 per month for four lines. One attractive feature of these plans, in addition to the pricing, is that each line gets its own 10GB allotment of high-speed data instead of having to share a bucket with the other lines. If a user does exceed the limit on data, Boost Mobile will cut speeds back to 2G levels until the billing cycle ends.

Boost Mobile is also offering special deals on smartphones for consumers interested in making a switch. For each line that is switched, customers can get a free phone from a selection offered by Boost Mobile or they can get a $50 instant device discount. The free phone options include the Alcatel Onetouch Elevate, Motorola Moto E, LG Tribute, LG Tribute 2 and the ZTE Speed.
