sprint_logo_wall_signSprint has teamed up with European wireless retailer Dixons Carphone to try and pierce the tough US market. The two companies will be working together to open 500 new Sprint-branded stores across the US, with both companies splitting costs 50/50. Dixons Carphone will be responsible for running those stores.

This move helps Sprint to expand its retail footprint in the US, which should hopefully give them a boost against Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. It also helps Dixons Carphone to try and penetrate the US retail market even further, which is far from an easy task, especially for a European retailer.

Keep an eye out for a new Sprint store popping up in your neighborhood.
