For the last few years, HTC has really struggled to bring an excellent camera to their flagship phone. It has always been alright, but not even close to the quality of their competitors like Samsung; however, HTC says this year things will be different.

HTC specifically said the One M10 camera will be much improved over previous years and will be quite competitive.

HTC CFO Chialin Chang said:

We can confidently say that HTC will have a very, very compelling camera experience. We’re making this comment after we’ve seen what’s going on in the market.

However, they gave no other details about the camera. Also, they pretty much say their camera will be amazing every year, so we can only hope this time it’s true.

We haven’t heard too much about the HTC One M10’s camera before. Although, we have already seen what LG and Samsung are bringing to the table with their new devices.

However, if the leaks are true, the HTC One M10 will feature a 5.2-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM, an Adreno 530 GPU, and 32GB of internal storage. For capturing pictures and recording video, HTC will utilize a 12MP camera on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front. Interesting that HTC might also use a 12MP rear camera just like Samsung is this year.

Also, the question we have all been wondering, what is happening with an HTC smartwatch? HTC has said UA Band fitness tracker sales have been very good, but didn’t comment much further on any smartwatch plans. Only saying that they would need to see how a smartwatch would work with their existing product lineup. However, they did say that when they do make one it will change the entire industry.
