New video and pictures of a triple display Android concept phone ‘Flip’, by Kristian Larsen

This is hands down one of the coolest concepts I’ve ever seen. Pictured above is a concept rendering of a “Flip” phone, which was designed by Kristian Ulrich Larsen. The Android device would have THREE physical displays that can be manipulated a number of ways, which you can see pictures of after the break.

Continue on to watch a video of this dreamy concept phone and let us know what you think in the comments!

Keep in mind, this is just a rendering. Hopefully this beauty becomes more of a reality in the future, though.

I always adore these concept videos and this one is no different. The three way screen looks not only slick but practical. Unfortunately, like concept cars, these products won’t come to market because of the prohibitive manufacturing costs. Instead, we end up with phones like the Droid or BB Storm.

What the mobile industry needs is a vast improvement in battery life technology to enable innovation and at the very least bring the UI up to these incredible visions. We are seeing chip and screen progression but you can’t do much when you only get a few hours of battery life out of a charge when in use.

Come on phone makers, please let the designers loose in real life and innovate with the form factor.
Android is already allowing innovation in UI – let’s see form factors take the initiative as well.

Sign me up. That would be totally frakking awesome. I’d pay up to a grand for that bad boy.

Do want. This might be even better than Mozilla’s Seabird concept.
