Now that HBO made their standalone streaming service official, it looks like Showtime is about to do the same. HBO Now was announced at the Apple Watch Event with a price of $14.99 per month, but more importantly, no cable subscription required.

No word on exactly when you able to get your Showtime stream on, but CBS CEO Les Moonves said “the not-too-distant future.” I think it's safe to bet they will launch something by the Summer. The only question is if Apple will snag an exclusive like they did with HBO? Maybe Google can grab this one for Android TV?
