That's not Smarty Pants, it's Smarty Pins because it involves Google Maps. It's a trivia game created by Google that isn't as simple as just knowing the answer. Each question will be about a particular location, and you will have to move the pin to the right location within Google Maps.

The game features six categories: Featured Topics, Arts & Culture, Science & Geography, Sports & Games, Entertainment, and History & Current Events. You will find various topics within each of these categories.

The object is to answer as many questions as you can before you run out of miles, and you answer these questions by dropping a pin at the correct location on the map. An example question from Sports & Games is, “This NFL stadium has hosted more Pro Bowls than any other venue?” If you place the pin incorrectly, you lose miles. You can also gain miles by answering the correct answer in quick fashion. You can even earn trophies and challenge your friends.

Just hit the source link to see how much of a smarty pin you really are.

Google developed a trivia game called Smarty Pins (a play on “smarty pants”). You need to answer a few questions by moving the pin to the right location. Here's an example: “In ‘The Shawshank Redemption,' Andy and Red happily reunite on a beach in which city?” The map will move closer to the right answer and you have a few seconds to move the pin.

You can answer as many questions as you can before you run out of kilometers. Kilometers are lost by placing the pin incorrectly. Bonus kilometres are gained for quick thinking.
