Played it and not really impressed with new drift! Lags even on low graphics making it hard to control! I use xperia t which has adreno 225 graphics and is quite capable of playing graphic intense games! Asphalt 8 needs a lot of improving and im not looking forward to waiting 2hours for each 1.5gb update to download! Basically instead of working on their past success, gameloft have just started from scratch with asphalt 8 and ruined it! Even asphalt 6 is better than this! I hope mc5 isnt ruined as well because thats using a new graphics engine like asphalt 8.
Anyone disappointed? Even at the highest graphics-quality setting, the game looks very distorted/blurred/jaggy. The gameplay is fairly decent, but the realism/console-quality they’ve hyped about isn’t there. That could change with an update, but I get the feeling that Gameloft isn’t going to put in the same effort they did for Asphalt 7. I’m not upset (at all) – I mean it was 99¢. That’s the other thing…the 99¢ selling price seems to signal that Gameloft doesn’t consider this a premium experience. I was fully willing (and expected) to pay in the 5-to-8 dollar range for a slick game like they’d portrayed in the trailers, so I found myself puzzled by its low price…but I get it now. Hopefully it’s just a glitch that was missed in testing, but I don’t have many expectations for the dollar I paid.
