More rumors of Motorola X Phone pop up, to feature unlockable Verizon bootloader

The Motorola X Phone is one of our favorite new rumors. We’d recently talked about how it will supposedly feature a 5 inch screen, vanilla Android, and an all-carrier approach, but won’t be a Nexus device. Some new rumors have popped up today that back that information and add a little fuel to the fire. The biggest piece of information now is that it will be available on all carriers, either through the Play Store or through the carriers, including Verizon. The catch here is that Verizon’s version of the device, which will run $299 on contract, will feature a bootloader unlock feature for the low, low price of $15 per month. Supposedly all versions of the device will be available on the Play Store with no unlock fee, but I know how much you guys like to give Verizon a little extra money for how well they treat their customers. You can even remove the bloatware once you’ve unlocked it! Sounds great, right?

It’s extremely important to remember that this is a rumor, and until Google I/O in May, (or possibly later) we won’t know any concrete details. Some or all of these details may change between now and then, but speculation is always fun.
