Welcome to the dark side… there are no cookies but I don’t want to leave. This is a quick guide to enabling dark mode on Samsung’s One UI 3.1 on your brand new Galaxy S21 device to make your experience on the device easier on your eyes.
There are several reasons why we use dark mode. If you are photosensitive or dyslexic often a darker background helps reduce the glare of a bright, white screen and the harsh contrast of back text. It’s less intrusive; for example, if you are in a movie theater (in pre-covid days…) and want to check your phone; dark mode enables you to do this without blaring out ‘I’m using my phone’ to everyone. Sometimes you want to check your phone in bed but worry about disturbing your partner or waking yourself up by depleting that precious melatonin with bright light. Dark mode solves this easily. Join us after the break where we’ll show you how to enable Dark Mode on Samsung’s One UI 3.1.
