Google Translate adds 12 languages to Conversation Mode [Video]

Google Translate has been on the scene now for about 10 months. It translates over 50 languages, but the coolest feature is the speech to speech translation or conversation mode in which it lets you translate speech in real time and have a conversation with someone that doesn’t speak your language.

Previously conversation mode was only available for English and Spanish, but with this update Google has added 12 languages including: French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch Russian, Czech, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Polish.

They also added in the ability to post-edit and correct speech input in conversation mode as well as the ability to view translation results in full screen mode

If you don’t have Google Translate on your phone head over to the Android Market to download or hit our apps database for the QR code.
