Lenovo is nixing some Moto lines in 2019, but doubling down on the Moto G family

Lenovo is making some changes to their Moto phones next year, with some lines getting axed from production completely. We won’t be seeing any 2019 versions of the Moto C, Moto M, and Moto X devices, but all of that extra effort is going towards more Moto G variants, for better or worse.

This record number of Moto G phones will include the standard Moto G7, most likely, but we’ll also see a Moto G7 Play, Moto G7 Plus, and Moto G7 Power, with that Power moniker making its debut in this line after launching with the Motorola One Power earlier this year.

The Power variant of the phone will most likely sport a massive battery that’s quick to recharge, although that certainly puts the Play version in a strange position. But still, this is a pretty early rumor and there’s still for things to change (or the Moto G7 Play to disappear completely) before 2019 rolls around and things become official.

What Moto device are you most looking forward to next year?
