Samsung Galaxy Note9 retail box confirms specs

Next week Samsung will officially take the wraps off the new Galaxy Note9 smartphone with delivery to customers starting on August 24th. There seems to be little reason to wait for Samsung’s Unpacked event on August 9th though as leaks continue to reveal information about the forthcoming device. The latest leak comes via a Russian retailer who has units in stock in preparation for the launch. Sources claims to have a picture of the retail packaging and thanks to some translation efforts, the box appears to confirm the specs we are expecting.

Specs for the Galaxy Note9 according to the translation of the retail box include the 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display, a 4,000 mAh battery and 128GB of onboard storage, at least for this particular version. On top of the onboard storage, the Galaxy Note9 will also support up to a full 1TB of additional storage via microSD.

For the cameras, Samsung has brought over the dual camera setup from the Galaxy S9+, which combines two 12MP sensors. One of those sensors includes Samsung’s unique variable aperture. On the front-side Samsung placed an 8MP camera.

The new S Pen will be powered and supports Bluetooth connections. This means the S Pen can be used as a remote control for the Galaxy Note9. Samsung is including AKG tuned stereo speakers and the Galaxy Note9 will have an IP68 rating for water and dust protection.
