Essential adds replacement fast charger and two pairs of USB-C earbuds to its inventory

It isn’t too much of a stretch to say that the Essential Phone (reviewed here) hasn’t exactly set the smartphone world on fire, in part thanks to its software and camera issues, although launch delays didn’t help it any either. While there have been numerous software updates since the phone launched that improved the camera performance as well as upgrading the handset to Android 8.0 Oreo, the accessories side of things has been lacking, to say the least. To that end, Essential has just announced the addition of a fast charger, a couple of pairs of USB Type-C earbuds, and replacement USB Type-C to 3.5mm dongles.

Replacement 27W Fast Chargers in black or white are finally available from Essential with a $39 price tag, while two pairs of USB Type-C earbuds have also been added. The Earphones|Mini feature 5mm drivers and cost $49 while the Earphones|HD cost $99 but feature 9.2mm drivers and Hi-Res Audio support. Both sets of earbuds have in-line microphones and a multi-function control button along with extra tips (small, medium, and large), as well as a carry case. Replacement USB Type-C to 3.5mm dongles are also available for $15 in black or white.

Listed as ‘Coming Soon‘ is the carry case for the 360 Camera module as well as a dock charger that attaches to the phone via the magnetic connectors on the phone’s rear panel, although no timeframe has been given for their eventual availability.

You can grab the newly added accessories directly from Essential’s website, here. What other accessories are you hoping to see become available from Essential?
