The OnePlus 5T can be ordered in Sandstone White from January 9

Launched in mid-November, the OnePlus 5T was primarily available to order only in Midnight Black although selected regions had access to an awesome Star Wars themes Limited Edition that featured a white rear panel with the film’s logo, along with a red alert slider on the side. From January 9th, though, fans will be able to purchase the OnePlus 5T with a plain white rear panel under a familiar moniker last seen on the OnePlus 2.

That’s right, the white OnePlus 5T will be available in a Sandstone color option, which is essentially the same as the previously mentioned Star Wars themed handset but without the logo on the rear panel. The front of the phone is still black, and there’s a shiny chrome edge between the front and rear finishes.

While it isn’t the exact same finish that was seen on the OnePlus 2 because it’s a little lighter this time around, OnePlus says that it takes around 75 minutes to apply the finish on each phone. It should be noted that it’s likely that the Sandstone finish will be prone to dirt and other marks, so it may be necessary to invest in a case for the handset if you choose the Sandstone option.

The Sandstone option is only available on the 8GB/128GB variant of the OnePlus 5T which sells for $559/£499 from January 9th.
