HQ Trivia game launched in beta format in US and Canada, pre-registrations open now

The HQ Trivia game launched exclusively on iOS back in August, although the company did announce a couple of weeks ago that the popular game will finally launch on Android. Now, it seems that the company is making good on its promise, with the news that the HQ Trivia game is currently available in a limited beta in the US and in open beta in Canada.

Rolling the trivia game out in a beta means that the developers can fine-tune the app as well as fix any bugs that may appear.  The company has stated that it is aiming to roll the game out to all Android users in the US and Canada by January 1st, just a couple of days from now.

The game consists of a live show between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET with its host, Scott Rogowsky, asking a series of questions that start off easy but soon increases in difficulty. Tap the correct answer within 10 seconds and you get to move on to the next question, and so on. If you answer all the questions correctly you’ll get to share a pot of up to $12,000 with the rest of the winners, with the prize money being paid into your PayPal account. By all accounts, it’s pretty addictive.

If you haven’t already pre-registered for the HQ Trivia app, just click the link here to be taken directly to its Play Store page. For the moment, there’s no news on when the trivia game will make its way across the pond to the UK or Europe.
