Google’s pop-up stores will sell Pixels and Google Homes this year

Google occasionally does pop-up locations in big cities to show off their products and give people a chance to test them out before buying them. The “stores” don’t really sell anything, but the hands-on experience is unique for Google since they don’t really have a physical retail presence in the US like Apple or Microsoft.

This holiday season will be a bit different, though. We knew a few pop-up locations were coming, but this time the stores in New York City and Los Angeles will both be actually selling Google products. Not all of them, of course, but you’ll be able to buy a Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL, or the Google Home Mini. If you can catch anything in stock, anyway.

The other newly announced products, like the new Daydream View and Pixel Buds, will also be rolling into the stores so customers can buy them, but you’ll have to wait for official launch dates on everything else.

The stores are open from October 19th through December 31st, so they’ll certainly be hot locations for holiday shoppers. They might be your best shot at finding a Pixel, too, considering how backordered everything is online.
