OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T are really getting Nougat now

Before it hit 2017 in various parts of the world, OnePlus honored its promise and delivered a major software update to its two major devices.

Both the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T are getting Android 7.0 Nougat right now. Seriously!

Unlike a few weeks ago when OnePlus gave false hope to its customers, Nougat is rolling out to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T as you read this. The entire package moves both phones to OxygenOS 4.0 as the specific build.

Here are highlights from OnePlus:

  • Upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat
    • New Notifications Design
    • New Settings Menu Design
    • Multi-Window View
    • Notification Direct Reply
    • Custom DPI Support
  • Added Status Bar Icon Options
  • Improved Shelf Customization

OnePlus says the over-the-air (OTA) software update will be incremental; therefore, Nougat will arrive on units worldwide at different times. The company wants to ensure stability before putting Nougat on every OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. So you could get the software update on your device as soon as today or maybe sometime next week. Only time will tell.
