Android 7.0 Nougat is rolling out today!

Google just announced that Android 7.0 Nougat is rolling out to devices beginning today.

On Monday, Google went live with the next version of Android. It’s finally time for devices to receive software updates that upgrade them to Android 7.0 Nougat.

Owners of devices released by Google in recent years will be eligible to get the software update immediately. The Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C, and General Mobile 4G are all ready for the over-the-air software update coming directly from the company that will put Nougat running at the core.

If your device is from outside of the Nexus line, you’ll have to wait until that specific manufacturer starts rolling out Nougat on its own. As we’ve seen the past, you could be waiting anywhere between a few weeks to many months.
