Traveling abroad takes a fair amount of planning, with a major question being how to send texts, make calls, and access mobile data without being charged an arm and leg by your carrier. Three UK has offered its “Feel at Home” program for a while now, allowing its users to roam networks in 18 countries freely without added expense. The UK carrier has now added a further 24 countries to the mix, making it a total of 42 countries covered.
The “Feel at Home” program already included Australia, France, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland, Austria, Hong Kong, Macau, Spain, Denmark, Indonesia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Finland, Israel, Norway, Sweden, and the United States, and now also includes the following new locations:
- Czech Republic
The new locations mean that Three’s “Feel at Home” program covers almost all of Europe, along with a decent sprinkling of countries from further afield with South America as a whole being the main omission. The new list will become active from September onwards and comes ahead of the EU abolishing roaming charges within its borders from June 17 next year, although the UK’s recent vote to exit the European Union means could cast some uncertainty on this.
