AppsGeyser is a new service that allows you to make Android apps from nearly any form of structured web content, such as web content blocks or even widgets. You don’t need any specialized development skills to make these apps, as it’s all done with a web-based interface in a couple of steps.
Apps use a standardized interface to make presenting your content, allowing users to read your content easier than in a mobile web browser, according to the company. Once the apps are created, users can read your content and share it with others using Twitter or Facebook.
AppGeyser also includes a mobile ad platform embedded within the app, allowing webmasters to also make a profit off of their web content. The revenue is shared between AppGeyser and the webmaster, in case you were wondering.
Their website has a few examples you can look at, such as a Los Angeles weather app, and National Geographic Jigsaw app. While I have not tried the service myself, I’ll give it a whirl and see how well it works out. It looks like a great new way for webmasters to syndicate their content.
