Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4 to get Android Lollipop

Samsung’s official web site for Finland has posted a list of Samsung devices that will eventually receive Android 5.0 Lollipop updates. The newer devices listed like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or even the prior generation Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are no surprise. However, for users clinging to older or more obscure devices, there appears to be some good news.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 were included in the listing. It is not clear how long owners of those devices may have to wait for the update or whether all variants will get the update, but the potential is there to squeeze a little more life out of that older hardware and still enjoy Google’s latest offering.

Besides the older devices, Samsung also lists some devices like the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini and the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. Although these devices do not make up a large portion of the portfolio for Samsung, they have not been forgotten.

Anyone out there still using any of these devices breathing easy with this latest news?
