HP unveils new Chromebooks powered by Intel and NVIDIA chips

This fall, HP will be releasing two new Chromebooks that are actually updates to models they already offer in 11-inch and 14-inch sizes. Both refreshed models will feature new processors and color options to set it apart from the competition. While the internal storage for both Chromebooks is not very much, owners will receive an additional 100GB of Google Drive space. Both also feature 1366×768 displays.

The Chromebook 11 will be released on October 5 with a $279 price tag. HP is swapping out an Exynos processor from Samsung in favor of Intel’s Celeron N2830. The color choices for the Chromebook 11 are Twinkle Black, Ocean Turquoise, and Snow White. It weighs 2.83 pounds.

The larger Chromebook 14 has NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 processor. Also, it has 16GB and 32GB storage options. Pricing for the Chromebook 14 starts at $299 and its release date is scheduled for October 22. HP really stands out with the Chromebook 14 due to its color choices — Smoke Silver, Sorbet Orange, Ocean Turquoise, and Neon Green. The weight of the Chromebook 14 is just under 4 pounds at 3.78 pounds.
