Gmail releases Priority Inbox feature

Google, maker of Android OS and soon-to-be universe dominator, has released a new feature into your Gmail mailbox. The new feature, known as “priority inbox”, splits your email into three seperate yet equally imoprtant groups:

  • Important and Unread
  • Starred
  • Everything Else

This is a special filtering system that will do it’s best to keep your inbox organized by what is most important to you. The system is shown in an example here:

Sounds pretty cool to this writer. Have you tried the feature? Have thoughts on it, good or bad? Be sure to let us know in the comments!

  • So far the only way I have been able to use my priority inbox on my EVO is using the web email interface. The native apps don’t seem to even see the “Important” label. Also, does anyone know the url for the FULL desktop version of GMail? I cam only get to the touch phone version or standard html.

  • *An impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post!
