LG Spectrum Update coming, Still no Ice Cream Sandwich

All of you LG Spectrum owners will soon have an update available for your Android device. This latest update version, VS920V6 is on deck to be pushed to your Verizon Wireless handsets. Unfortunately you won’t yet be seeing that sought after Android 4.0 update just yet. But the laundry list of updates in this version are worth noting. You will be graced with plenty of bloatware updates, updates to Google Play, Gmail, Talk and YouTube, and more. The file size is 127mb, so you could be spending some time updating depending on your network coverage of course.

So if you just can’t wait for that notification icon to pop-up, you can manually check for updates by going to the following location on your Spectrum: Menu Key > Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for Updates. Once that is complete you can douple check your software version by checking the ‘About Phone’ section: Home screen > Menu > Settings > About phone. You should see that you’ve been updated to firmware version VS920V6.

Happy Updating!
