White_Nexus_4_Back

After a bunch of web leaks and an appearance at this year’s Google I/O, the white Nexus 4 has shown up once again in all its glory. This time the pictures seem to be press images rather than leaked photos of the device. The white Nexus 4 has been rumored for a June 10th release with options for 8GB or 16GB of internal storage. Unfortunately this means that at least for now, there won’t be a 32GB+ option.

Since we don’t know if the release of Android 4.3 will be paired with the release of the white Nexus 4, we’ll assume that the device will ship with at least Android 4.2 and will obviously be immediately upgradable to the next release of Android. Check back for more information about the phone as it is released. More photos after the break. » Read the rest

Yesterday, only a couple days before Google I/O is scheduled to open, a new photo of a white Google Nexus 4 device surfaced. Today, things ratchet up a bit with the discovery of a white Nexus 4 at a Qualcomm booth at The Mobile Show in Dubai. The folks at TechView even took the time to video the device which was presented to them as a demo unit. One thing that is apparent now is that only the back is white with the face still sporting black panels surrounding the screen. Since there is no information on a timeframe for a retail release, or if that will even happen, there is always the possibility the whole thing could end up being white, not just the back. Hit the break to check out the video. » Read the rest

Another white Nexus 4 appears in the wild, preparing for a Google I/O release?

Another shot of the white Nexus 4 has surfaced, which seems to backup earlier photos of a white Nexus 4 we reported to you back in January. But as we near Google I/O 2013, we’re expecting an official announcement (or maybe even a release) of the device, hopefully with some bumped up specs.

This time, the device ended up in the hands of Google+ user Ervin Sue, who obtained the phone on a buy and sell website. Although the outer hardware looks to be the same (aside from color), we’re hopeful that Google at least adds a modern Snapdragon 600 processor and 4G LTE.

When Google I/O starts in a couple of days we’ll be sure to have some more information— but until then, you’ll just have to be patient!

More evidence of a white LG Nexus 4 surfaces

by Jeff Causey on

Late yesterday we reported on a leaked image that purported to show a new white version of the LG Nexus 4 smartphone. The question on everyone’s mind was whether it was a legitimate image. Today more images have surfaced showing a white, well mostly white, LG Nexus 4 device. The images showed up on a Vietnamese web site and show the device being held in someone’s hand as they rotate the device around for different views in a series of fifteen shots. Not impossible to fake, but these latest images would require a lot more effort to produce if someone were trying to pull a hoax on the tech world. » Read the rest

YouTube video ad confirms multiple color options for HTC Butterfly [Video]

A quick look at HTC’s latest ad for their Butterfly reveals multiple color options for the device. The 2 minute video shows red, white and black colors for the phone in all its elegance. Sadly, the device is still available only in Asia, but we get the DROID DNA in the United States minus the microSD slot.

If HTC wants to gain more ground, they should really push for devices such as these to be available world wide, don’t you think? Either way, check out the video after the break!

White 64GB HTC One S with Android 4.1 now available in Taiwan

by Sean Stewart on
tagged , , ,

In what appears to be a regular HTC One S in one photo is in fact a white 64GB One S beast rocking Android 4.1 out of the box that we mentioned last month. It looks like Taiwan is the lucky country to land this beast, at least initially. Along with 4.1 out of the box, this device also rocks the  latest version of HTC Sense (4+). Not to mention that mammoth storage weighing in at a hefty 64GB. All other vitals are the same as the One S we know and love as far as RAM, processor, and display. No word on any other countries landing this bad-boy. Pricing will come in at 17,900 Taiwan dollars, or about $616 or €485.

According to a tip sent in to the folks at Techno Buffalo, Sprint is gearing up to release a white version of the HTC EVO 4G LTE. As you can see in the screenshot above, the Sprint warehouse is expecting inventory of an HTC X325C, said to be the alabaster version of the EVO 4G LTE.
