Motorola offering up to $140 off of purchases for Valentine’s Day

motolove valentine's dayBecause Valentine’s Day can be a potentially expensive holiday, Motorola is offering a pretty steep discount on purchases made through Starting February 2nd and running through the 14th, if you spend more than $499.99, Moto will knock $140 off of your purchase with a promo code. If you don’t want to spend quite as much, a $249.99 purchase can get a $50 discount. This includes everything from accessories to the Moto 360 to the Moto X, so it’s a pretty great deal to take advantage of.

If you don’t get a promo code, Motorola is still docking $100 off of a $499.99 purchase, or $35 off of a $249.99 purchase, for everyone. The promo code discount is quite a bit bigger, though, so if you’re interested, hit the link below to register. Motorola is only giving away 200,000 codes, so the sooner, the better.

Motorola extends $70-off deal for all Moto X models


Moto X Discount

Motorola was offering its Valentine’s Day sale up until today, but now you can still take advantage of the deal until Feb. 22. All Moto X models will have $70 deducted from the off-contract price, including Moto Maker devices, Developer Editions, etc.

Get it while you can— you never know what kind of deals Lenovo is going to offer once it takes full control of the reins.

Google offering Valentine’s Day app and game deals in the Play Store


Without a Valentine on this special day? Indulge in what Google is celebrating with this year. In the Play Store, Google says they have “More Apps to Love” and “More Games To Love.” The offerings are either free or carry a decent discount. There are twelve apps and fifty-three games listed.

And in case you really went to celebrate Valentine’s Day, you can order a red Nexus 5 from the Play Store.

Google+ adding Valentine’s Day themed effects to Auto Awesome photos


Google will be keeping with their tradition of holiday-themed Auto Awesome photos tomorrow for Valentine’s Day. If you upload a photo to Google+ of people kissing, floating hearts (as seen above) will be added to the photo to make it “extra-special.” You can keep it private, or make it public for all the world to see. It’s up to you— try it out now!

Chromecast offers fireplace display option while casting Google Play Music for Valentine

Plan on cozying up on the couch with that special someone for Valentine’s Day tomorrow?

Well Google’s here to help set the mood with a new special feature added to Chromecast. When using the device to stream Google Play Music to your television, you can now display a fireplace on the TV while the music plays.

To turn on the option, all you have to do is tap on the gear icon on the top right of Google Play Music on the web and click on “Labs.’ Click “enable” on the “Chromecast Fireplace Visualizer” and you’re good to go!

Win a red Google Nexus 5 by telling Google what you’re passionate about


As Valentine’s Day approaches, Google is giving away the chance to win a red Google Nexus 5! All you have to do is tell Google what or who you love by submitting a picture of a person, place or thing.

To enter the competition you must be over the age of 18, live in the US, and submit an image that qualifies. If you meet those requirements you can head over to the official contest page to submit your entry. You also should share your photo on your preferred social media site with the tag #iheartred. Get Android themed Valentine’s cards, wallpaper from Android Foundry


Android Foundry, producer of goods based on Google’s Android mascot, is helping fans feel some love for Valentine’s Day with a couple freebies. First, they have released a special holiday themed wallpaper featuring the the green droid in sizes suitable for all manner of mobile devices as well as desktop computers. Samsung adds Galaxy Core, Fame Lite, and Trend to LeFleur lineup


Last January, Samsung took a few of its phones and added a more feminine look to the hardware, changing the color and outer design as well as adding a new wallpaper to match. Samsung Galaxy Note Gets A Valentine’s Day Makeover
