It looks like LG has some surprises in store for the public in the near-future after generating major buzz from the release of Google’s latest flagship phone, the Nexus 4. On its Facebook page, LG released an image of a gift wrapped box with the cryptic tagline: “New Series Will Be Unveiled”, while encouraging us to wait and “see what surprise LG has in store for you this time, with an unexpected distinction”. With the upcoming Mobile World Conference later this February, LG is ensuring their spot in the most anticipating unveiling category.
What do you think LG is going to unveil? Many are looking forward to the office announcement LG Optimus G Pro which sports a 5-inch 1,920 x 1,080 resolution display, a 1.7Ghz Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, 2 gigabytes of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 3,000mAh battery. Could this be what LG is hinting at unveiling? What might this “new series” entail for LG and consumers?

If you go into Sony’s Xperia Facebook page you’ll see a giant banner with the countdown clock for their next Xperia phone (which we expect to be the Sony LT29i Hayabusa). By now, it should be just a little over a day left till the clock runs down. Also, if you follow the directions and click the “Fast-forward” button, you’ll uncover simple instructions for a chance to actually win the device. All you’ll need to do is enter your name and e-mail as well as answer a simple question and you’re all set. I’ve actually never used a Sony Android phone before so I’m not quite sure what to expect with this one, but the more the merrier!

Oh yes, the Transformer Prime is coming. Following a short, yet still drool-worthy appearence at the All Thing D’s AsiaD conference this week, the NVIDIA quad-core Tegra 3 powerhouse of a tablet now has a live landing page and is unabashedly described as “faster, stronger and of course, sexier” than anything you’ve experienced before.
The Transformer Prime will get its official unveiling in just three weeks on November 9th. In the meantime, jump past the break to enjoy its quick showing at AsiaD.
It has smiled for the camera and it has passed through the FCC. Now all we need is the official unveiling for HTC’s first 10-inch Honeycomb tablet. It is likely that it will happen on September 1st since HTC will hold a press event. HTC has not told us what the event will be about, but all evidence points to the Puccini taking center stage.
The HTC Puccini will have a 10.1-inch display, a dual-core Snapdragon processor, 8MP camera with dual-LED flash, front camera, Android Honeycomb, and support for the HTC Digital Pen with HTC Scribe.
