Chock this one up as a rumor for now folks, at least until we get further confirmation.  However, according to a source over at Droid-Life, the HTC Vigor could be the initial launch device sporting Beats by Dre’s audio mechanics.  Droid Life states in their coverage of the rumor:
And if you were wondering, this will be a Beats by Dre device.  We’re hearing that it has a Beats logo as part of the bootup sequence, but other than that, it was tough to tell what else HTC had done to integrate their audio technology.

Furthermore, it’s stated that the device will strongly resemble the  look and feel of the HTC Thunderbolt, sporting a 4.3-inch capacitive touch display with 1280 x 720 resolution, a 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU, 1 Gig of RAM and Android 2.3.4 on board.  It’s also speculated the device will come with 16 GB’s of storage and an 8 mp camera.  There will also be a 2 mp front facing camera for your video chatting pleasure.  And to top it all off, it’ll have the latest version of Sense UI (3.5)  Here’s to hoping DL’s source is accurate, because if it is, we have high hopes for a device like this.  Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Motorola Fixing Sound Issues with the Droid X in Next Update

by Chris Moor on

If you have a Droid X then you may be having issues with your sound notifications. Don’t fret, Motorola has been actively watching their support forums and plans on fixing the issues in the next update. The update should be here around mid September and also will address the Exchange issues that some of you are experiencing.

They have not addressed whether this will be a Froyo update to take care of the issues or not, but with the Exchange issue being addressed and the Droid 2 releasing soon with 2.2 I would bet they it might be just that. I have seen things like that happen before so that would not surprise me at the least.

Have you been experiencing any of the sound or Exchange issues personally? We would love to hear what you think.
