Radio Shack offers new trade in program, up to $300 credit toward purchase of any Samsung device

Radio_Shack_Trade_And_Save

Radio Shack is unveiling a new deal that will allow customers to trade in their old devices for an in-store credit toward the purchase of any Samsung device.

There are a few caveats, however. The Samsung device you are getting in return must be branded by Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint, and the amount of credit you receive for your trade-in varies by device and the accessories that you trade in along with the device. According to Radio Shack, the only two devices that will get you a $300 credit are the Samsung Galaxy Note II and the AT&T 64GB iPhone 5. You also have to sign a new 2-year contract with the purchase of your Samsung phone.

The deal ends on July 7th, so if you’re looking to get a new phone, you may want to take advantage of this program.

Radio Shack and AT&T offering HTC One X for $99 on July 29th

Radio Shack has officially confirmed our previous report that the AT&T HTC Once X‘s price will be slashed in half to $99 starting July 29th. This move is likely due to the Samsung Galaxy S III‘s monstrous sales numbers and this could be HTC’s way of attempting to keep up. AT&T is also going to drop the price as well and it’s been reported that they already have, but we just checked online and at the time of this post, it still shows $199.

While the One X is a couple of months older than the S III, it’s still an Android powerhouse and at this price it would be hard to pass up. Any one out there planning on taking advantage of this price?

Select Radio Shack stores receiving Verizon Galaxy Nexus for a ridiculous price of $799 off contract, $299 on contract

It looks like this week is officially the Galaxy Nexus week. The news of the Galaxy Nexus has been going non stop for a fee months now, but things are only heating up with the release this Friday. Just in case your local Verizon store sells out, we just wanted to let you know that you can head over to Radio Shack as select stores are receiving the most coveted phone in the land. Of course Best Buy is another option.

What really concerns me is the price. The $299 with a 2-year contract price is fine, but the whopping $799 off contract price is insane. Let’s hope Verizon stores don’t go that high because  an unlocked version (GSM) is cheaper.
