
After weeks of countless rumors, the LG Optimus Nexus has purportedly been spotted in the wild. A set of leaked images show off a black slab styled smartphone, similar to LG’s Optimus G, though the device in question appears to be running atop stock Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
The device has been given the moniker “Mako”, which lines up nicely with the aquatic codenames of past Nexus devices. Despite the bump in the Android version, the smartphone’s homescreen, icons and status bar remain nearly identical to what we’ve grown accustomed to in Android 4.1.
On the exterior, however, several tweaks have been made to the physical body of the device, compared to the original LG Optimus G. Most notably, the rear camera and flash have been repositioned, hinting at the fact that there could very well be different internals inside.
