We know the LG Optimus G is one hell of a smartphone already— but we are about to see one hell of an enhanced addition to the Optimus G family. Our friends at Engadget recently got their hands on a press image of the Optimus G Pro smartphone which takes everything the original Optimus G has and makes it just a little better. The Optimus G Pro features a purdy 5-inch display with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, 1.7Ghz Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064, 2 gigs of RAM, 32GB Memory and an ample 3,000mAh battery. As sexy as these specs are— this Jelly Bean-powered bad boy is set to land in Japan on NTTDoCoMo’s ever-growing cellular network.
It’s a nice device to be sure, but at least those of us out here in the States has something pretty good to look forward to this year.
NTT DoCoMo has announced a new Android 2.3 device which is actually thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S II AND is waterproof! Now you have no excuse to get a new phone when you drop yours in the sink full of suds. The NEC MEDIAS WP N-06C (whew, that is a crazy name) is running Gingerbread, has a 4 inch TFT LCD touchscreen with 854×480 resolution, 1 GHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB RAM, 5 megapixel camera and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
Along with the specs seen below, you’ll notice that the device comes in three odd color options (from left to right above) “Amadana Brown”, “Premium rose”, and “Champagne Gold”. Or as we would call, ugly brown, pink and silver. The thickness changes once you’re up over the camera from 7.9mm to about 9.7mm, where the Samsung Galaxy S II is at 8.49mm. Regardless, that device is thin enough to make Kate Moss jealous.
